I had the pleasure of moderating a panel on AI Safety and Responsibility at the AI Governance and Research Symposium, organised by IMDA, AI Singapore and NTU’s National Centre for Research in Digital Trust (DTC) and hosted at ATxSG 2024. This event brought together leading experts and researchers to explore the forefront of AI safety, focusing on institutionalising AI safety and responsibility, discussing the overlapping objectives, institutional pathways, risk mitigation and how actors and stakeholders can navigate this complex, but crucial, set of questions.
I want to thank our panelists — Dr. Ming Tan (Tech for Good Institute), Mr. Jeegar Kakkad (Tony Blair Institute for Global Change), Dr. Alham Fikri Aji (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence) and Dr. Lin Yong Hua (Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence) — for their views, insights and discussions at the panel.
